Aqua (Water)
Water is an essential ingredient! It hydrates the skin and helps the star ingredients to absorb into the skin quickly, while keeping the formula lightweight despite the high concentration of heavy butters and oils.
Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter
A vitamin-rich oil that provides antioxidant properties, Mango butter is helpful for repairing skin and improving tone and texture without clogging pores.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
Jojoba oil closely resembles the skin's natural oils, which allows it to penetrate deeply into the skin. Because of this, it is prized for its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to promote collagen production for improving elasticity
Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60
Emulsifying wax is a blend of cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate-60. You may know that water and oil don't mix, but that's where emulsifying wax comes in! Cetearyl alcohol is an emollient which works with polysorbate-60 to emulsify and stabilize the butters, oils, and water.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter
Shea butter is full of skin-loving fatty acids + antioxidants to moisturize skin and help reduce inflammation.
Shorea Robusta (Sal) Seed Butter
Shorea (Sal) Butter is high in skin-loving fatty acids. I add it to this formulation because it adds a lovely shine and stability.
Garcinia Indica (Kokum) Seed Butter
Like mango and shea butter, Kokum butter is high in fatty-acids and antioxidants to help deeply nourish the skin.
Stearic Acid
Stearic Acid is an emollient, emulsifier, and lubricant that helps in softening and moisturizing the skin.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a humectant, which means it draws moisture into the skin.
Fragrance
All of our fragrances are vegan, phthalate-, and cruelty-free. We follow all safety guidelines set by the IFRA on usage percentages.
Mixed Tocopherols (and) Glycine Soja Oil
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that also helps in preserving the butters and oils in the formulation. Vitamin E is NOT a preservative, but can help prevent rancidity :)
Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil
Pumpkin Seed Oil is considered to provide moisturizing properties to dry skin due to its high levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids.
Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol
Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol is a paraben- and formaldehyde-free preservative system.
Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder
Arrowroot Powder is a natural starch that helps to reduce the greasiness of the heavy butters/oils.
